Did you know that Blue Tits are the number one birds in most parks and gardens throughout Hertfordshire? Starlings took second place and house sparrows third place during the recent RSPB Wildlife Explorers' Big Garden Birdwatch survey to find which species appear in the highest numbers. More than 90 species were recorded - the most unusual garden visitors were waxwings, kingfishers and lesser-spotted woodpeckers.
