UPDATE ON SCHOOL LANE
A mains leak was repaired by Three Valleys Water early April, and this has significantly reduced the amount of water in the road. It is thought that there is some further water that comes off the fields and/ or from springs. Without much notice Hertfordshire Highways are now making excavations to investigate further, and School Lane will be closed for short periods (1 - 2 days, during working hours) for the next few weeks, with a diversion signposted via Little Almshoe crossroads. Please take great care if trying to use the single track road from Gosmore, as a lot of vehicles are rushing along that route without realising the narrowness of the road or the blind bends. |
