Swimming
For several years now, Princess Helena College (PHC) have very kindly agreed to let the villagers of Preston have use of their swimming pool and tennis courts during the summer holidays. This is a facility that we are permitted to use whilst the pupils from PHC are on holiday and by negotiation with the organisers of the summer school courses that reside at PHC during this time.
The pool is opened at set hours each day when lifeguard cover is provided. A notice board outside the pedestrian entrance to PHC (the gate facing onto the village Green) gives opening times, although we do try to operate as consistently as possible throughout the summer.
The pool is usually open from early July to the end of August. A nice long season and, at £41.00 per family, great value for money.
If you would like to become members of the swimming or tennis club (or both) please fill out the application form (see link below) and return it to the Preston Primary School Secretary or Alison Bierrum. Please pay particular attention to the Club rules and regulations.
